Residency Theme: "The Wild, The Unwanted, The Unseen"

This is a working draft of the Goddard Graduate Institute Spring 2022 Residency schedule. Please do not regard anything listed as final until you have been advised to do so by the Program Lead. Zoom links will be the last things added. We recommend that you bookmark the SCHED link and refresh each time you check it, to make sure you capture any new updates.

SCHED allows attendees to view and interact with schedules on any device, including mobile, with the option for a traditional print-out schedule as well. To create your own custom schedule in the app or in Google Calendar, you will be prompted to create a brief profile with SCHED.

By clicking on the Schedule drop-down menu on the left, you may view the schedule in different ways. You may filter events by Type on the right-hand side as well. Also on the right, there is a mobile icon and printer icon for mobile and print views.

A full guide on how to use all of Sched’s features is available here: https://sched.com/support/section/guide-for-attendees/ If you continue to have questions about SCHED, you can contact academicservices@goddard.edu (weekdays) and helpdesk@goddard.edu.

In this workshop, we will engage the practice of intentional silence and deep listening as a portal to activate individual and collective connection, self-reflection, and opportunities for spiritually-guided responsiveness and embodied creative expression.

To prepare for the workshop, please do the following:

1. don’t talk, just listen. spend a minimum of four hours intentionally silent. deeply listen to the world around you (nature, people, objects) while in community and/or when alone with yourself.
2. whenever in conversation or community with others stay present and participate fully without using words to express yourself. (you may use very limited physicality to respond to others I.E. light pantomime, facial expressions)
3. keep a journal of your journey. only write when there is no one speaking to you and only when you feel most compelled. when the spirit moves you, locate what your body feels, knows and needs to remember, let go of, and heal.
4. be in community, and don’t take up too much space when there. trust and allow others to guide the conversation. welcome the wisdom of others. their wisdom may be a springboard to your growth.
5. sit with discomfort. sit with ambiguity.
6. give yourself grace. give others grace.
7. D.E.W.I - do everything with intention.
